This home in the South West Calgary neighbourhood of Mystic Ridge, was a charmer from the start. The design concept involved reworking existing grades to allow for the construction of a large workout building in the dead space behind the garage and the addition of a fine graded putting green and backyard synthetic turf area. Brown Rustic boulders from Rocky Mountain House Alberta were used to retain the grade transition and as subtle feature boulders in the planting beds. Large coniferous Spruce and Pine were used along the property lines to add privacy, while ornamental Crabapple and Cherry trees, along with lower growing woody ornamentals and a full slate of perennials were designed throughout for a full perimeter screening of the backyard. Black Rundle patios, composite on black aluminum open riser step and Kayu Batu privacy screens round out a complete and magical landscape!
